Behind every protocol stands a school, a master and a therapeutic lineage forged in Chiang Mai, northern Thailand.

At the source of knowledge.
Ajahn means « master » in Thai. Ajahn Suwat is recognised as one of the greatest references in therapeutic massage in Thailand — to the point that practitioners from all over Thailand and the world come to train with him.
What sets him apart is a rare fusion: he took traditional Thai massage and applied a deep knowledge of anatomy to it. After more than fifteen years of practice, research and clinical observation as a therapist, he mapped cause-and-effect links in the human body that the Western approach alone often overlooks.
That process led him to create the Thara Massage School: not one more school among the hundreds already in Thailand, but a genuine training centre for manual therapy professionals looking for protocols that durably resolve musculotendinous syndromes.
The Thara Massage School is unique in that it preserves the true tradition of therapeutic Thai massage — the one practised in hospitals — while integrating Western principles of functional anatomy and biomechanics. It is the best there is for anyone who wants to make manual therapy their profession.

It is there, as one of his closest students, that Clement learned this method at the source and brought it back to Switzerland.

Tradition in service of the result
Centuries of Thai therapeutic tradition put to a single purpose: healing durably.
Anatomy as the compass
Every technique results from therapeutic reasoning, grounded in a deep knowledge of movement anatomy and functional biomechanics.
Treat the cause, not the symptom
This is the very identity of Thara Massage: find and treat the cause of a pain so the symptoms disappear for good.

is unique
it is shared.
Most conventional schools teaching Thai massage offer formatted sequences: chains of gestures, identical for everyone, designed mainly for relaxation. Ajahn Suwat's school stands apart from that mainstream teaching: it gives every student real tools of analysis and understanding, so they can choose the most relevant treatments and therapeutic techniques for each case.
At Thara Massage, you understand the origin of a syndrome, then build a targeted protocol unique to each patient. That rigorous know-how, at once traditional and clinical, is the strength of the Thara Massage School's teaching.
The school is attended by Thai massage therapists as well as physiotherapists, osteopaths, chiropractors and sports coaches. Ajahn Suwat shares his knowledge without restriction, with a limitless passion for teaching.
